HOW TO SELL

Selling your antique or collectible at Towsonline Auction guarantees trusted service and a successful auction.  From evaluations, national advertising to catalogue preparation, gallery exhibition, auction presentation, you’ll receive the maximum value for your item.

EVALUATION
The first step to selling is estimating the value of your property. Our appraisers will make the judgment of an item’s market, value and selling points.  There are several ways in which to obtain a pre-sale evaluation: (1) Email us at towsonlineauction@gmail.com or mail the hard copies of the details of your items including images, size, markings, condition and provenance; (2) Meet an acquisitions specialist on-site, make an appointment with us, bring in your property, and one of our representatives would be happy to meet with you and provide a pre-sale estimate.

CONSIGMENTS
Towsonline Auction will act as your selling agent.  Our representative will provide you with detailed consignment terms along with a formal consignment contract for your review so you fully understand and feel comfortable with the auction process. Prior to auctions, a multi-day exhibition is open to the public, allowing maximum exposure of your property.  We also provide professional cataloguing and extensive marketing to expose your items to the largest possible venue.

PAYMENT
You will be paid by check, along with a full detailed accounting of each lot’s sale price and itemized charges approximately four weeks after the auction. We receive a percentage of the sale price (commission) for our services.
