EVALUATION
The first step in selling your property is determining its potential auction value. Our specialists will evaluate your items based on factors such as current market demand, condition, quality, rarity, provenance, and comparable auction results.
There are several ways to obtain a complimentary pre-sale evaluation:
- Email Evaluation: Email us with photographs and available information about your items, including dimensions, markings or signatures, condition, provenance, and any other relevant details.
- In-Person Evaluation: Make an appointment to bring your property to us. One of our representatives will review your items and provide a preliminary auction estimate.
For larger collections, estates, or items that are difficult to transport, please contact us to discuss whether an on-site evaluation can be arranged.
CONSIGNMENTS
Towsonline Auction acts as your agent in offering your property for sale at auction. Once your property is accepted for consignment, we will provide you with our consignment terms and a written consignment agreement outlining the auction process, commission, and other applicable terms.
Our team professionally catalogs and photographs your property and promotes upcoming auctions through appropriate online platforms and marketing channels to reach a broad audience of potential bidders.
Prior to the auction, selected items may also be available for public preview or exhibition, providing bidders with an opportunity to inspect the property before bidding.
From cataloging and marketing through the final auction presentation, our goal is to give your property strong exposure and achieve the best possible auction result.
PAYMENT
Following the auction and successful collection of payment from the buyer, consignor proceeds are generally issued by check approximately four weeks after the auction, together with a detailed settlement statement showing the sale price of each lot and any applicable commissions, fees, or other charges.
Towsonline Auction receives an agreed-upon percentage of the sale price as commission for our auction services.
