PAYMENTS
Towsonline Auction accepts certified checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express Paypal, and Zelle Transfer as payment. Bidders using the hibid.com, Invaluable.com (including auctionzip.com) or LiveAuctioneers.com platforms may pay their invoices online. All credit card charges are final and may not be disputed. Disputing credit card charges will put buyers in violation of this agreement and will subject them to legal fees, punitive damages, etc. Credit card payments are limited to a total invoice amount of $10,000. Wire or Zelle transfers are encouraged and can be arranged through our accounting department. No personal checks will be accepted without prior approval. On any cash transactions or series of transactions exceeding $10,000, Treasury Form 8300 will be filed. All property must be paid within one week following the close of the auction.
Automatic payment: 1) HiBid.com and bid.towsonlineauction.com Bidders: The credit card on file for the auction will be automatically charged for your invoice total after the auction, unless you have contacted Towsonline Auction in advance to arrange an alternative payment method. 2) liveAuctioneers.com or auctionzip.com Bidders: If you do not contact Towsonline Auction to arrange payment within two days of receiving your invoice, the credit card used at registration will be automatically charged through their payment system.
PICKING UP/SHIPPING
Property will not be released until full payment is received. Items not removed within 14 days after the auction may be moved to storage and charged $10 per lot, per day. Towsonline Auction is not responsible for loss or damage to items left beyond 14 days. Items not picked up or shipped within two (2) months after the auction, with no removal arrangements or communication from the buyer, will be considered abandoned property and may be disposed of, donated, or resold at Towsonline Auction’s discretion, without compensation to the buyer.
Option 1. FREE LOCAL PICKUP BY APPOINTMENT:
Free local pickup is available at our office (9475 Deereco Rd. Suite B200, Timonium, MD 21093). Appointment MUST BE made 48 hours in advance for picking up. Please text/call us, or Email us for appointment.
Option 2. IN-HOUSE PACKING AND SHIPPING:
Towsonline Auction offers in-house packing and shipping at reasonable rates for most items shipped to U.S. addresses via USPS or UPS. An updated invoice including estimated handling, shipping, and insurance charges will be sent to the buyer. Insurance is required for all shipments. Items will be shipped within three business days after the shipping fee is received. Tracking information will be provided once the package is shipped. International buyers are advised to arrange shipping through a third-party provider, as we do not offer international shipping services directly.
Option 3. THE THIRD PARTIES FOR SHIPPING SERVICE:
If bidders prefer to use shipping providers other than Towsonline Auction, or if we are unable to pack and ship items due to size or destination, please contact us via email or phone call/text for a list of local shipping providers. Buyers are free to use any shipping company, not limited to those we recommend. Please note: an Authorized Release Form must be submitted online to Towsonline Auction before any purchased items can be released to a buyer’s designated shipper. Option 4. USE BIDDER’S OWN SHIPPING LABEL:
If bidders prefer to use their own shipping labels, please contact us at shipping@towsonlineauction.com to request package size and weight details. A packing fee of $15 (or more for large or oversized items) will be charged by Towsonline Auction. We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance, as Towsonline Auction is not responsible for lost or damaged packages when using third-party labels.
Notes: International buyers should be aware that certain countries do not allow the importation of items containing materials made from endangered species. This includes, but is not limited to, coral and tortoise shell. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check the relevant import and custom regulations prior to bidding, and to pay any related Customs fee or tax.
ONCE ITEMS ARE RELEASED, EITHER TO WINNING BIDDER OR TO A THIRD PARTY, SUCH AS A MOVING/SHIPPING COMPANY, TOWSONLINE AUCTION DOES NOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY AND WILL NOT BE HOLD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES, LOSS AND/OR MISSING PARTS.
